History of the Soldier at Fort Verde

April 4 and 5, 2009

Soldiers from all eras will be on display at the annual History of the Soldier at Fort Verde State Historic Park, 125 E. Hollamon St., Camp Verde. Saturday, the event is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with an 8:30 a.m. flag-raising both days. This is a time to pay tribute to our soldiers from the Revolutionary War to the present. There will be military encampments, weapons demonstrations, a fashion show, vintage baseball games, children's games and more. Park entry is $3 for adults and $1 for youth age 7-13. Children 6 and under are free. Call (928) 567-3275.
